Vocational Wayfinding
Vocational wayfinding is for those seeking more than a new role or title, but a deeper alignment between values, vision, and vocation. It’s for people hungry for congruence—the resonance between who you are, what you value, and what you do.
Together, we walk through a structured, deeply human process rooted in design-thinking principles—an approach I refined while leading career design work at Stanford, AEI, and Praxis.
- Self-Awareness and Discovery: We begin by surfacing stories, strengths, and patterns—what energizes and what drains you.
- Values and Vision: We explore what matters most, and what kind of future you’re drawn to create.
- Possibilities and Paths: We identify a range of meaningful possibilities—what might be “next”, grounded in what’s true.
- Prototypes and Testing: You test small steps, projects, or conversations that illuminate the road ahead.
- Intentional Iteration: As you move, we reflect and refine towards your definition of success.
Depending on your goals, typical outcomes include:
- Clarifying your career story, values, and strengths
- Exploring future roles and surfacing aligned opportunities
- Designing intentional transitions: sabbatical, shift, or leap
- Strategizing compensation and role fit with confidence
- Designing work-life rhythms for holistic well-being and joy
This work is especially resonant for post-exit founders, high-capacity professionals in transition, or anyone seeking to live and work with greater intention.

Hi, I'm Haley
These diverse paths converged after completing joint MBA and MA degrees at Stanford University. I applied design thinking to organizational challenges at IDEO before stepping into the CEO role at Kammok, a fast-growing outdoor gear company. As a first-time CEO I experienced both the weight and wonder of leadership — and the profound difference a thoughtful coach makes in helping you feel less isolated and vulnerable at the helm.
Today, I bring an experiential breadth and deep empathy to my work with leaders. At my best, I create the kind of space that gives people the courage to move — toward clarity, toward freedom, toward the life they’re meant to lead. I help leaders access parts of themselves that feel buried or untapped, and together we design next steps that feel both true and transformative.
Outside of coaching, I lead team workshops, speak on leadership, and mentor with Praxis. I've served as a Lecturer in Organizational Behavior at The University of Texas, Board Member at Explore Austin and The Trinity Forum Academy, Venture Partner at Praxis, and Guest Instructor at the American Enterprise Institute.
When not engaged with clients, you'll find me in Bastrop, Texas with my husband and two sons, enjoying the big Texas sky and rural rhythms just east of Austin.
Who is your typical client?
I work with entrepreneurial, purpose-driven leaders navigating transitions, complexity, or questions of meaning and impact in their work. Most of my clients are first-time CEOs, founders, and senior leaders of early- to mid-stage companies across all industries. I also work with a few leaders in venture capital and private equity.
What is your coaching approach?
My coaching is a partnership grounded in trust and curiosity. I bring a balance of strategic thinking and empathetic listening, support and challenge. I ask the questions that unlock possibility and growth. Occasionally, I will put on my advisor hat and be more directive.
What differentiates you as a coach?
I am a warm and curious expert generalist. My diverse background as a CEO, consultant, and experiential educator allows me to bring multiple lenses to each conversation.
Here's a few things my clients have said differentiate me as a coach:
- Strategic thought partnership. Clients appreciate my ability to see the bigger picture while paying attention to the small details that matter.
- Whole-person coaching. I care about who you are in the fullness of your life.
- Real-world experience. I’ve led teams, raised funding, scale companies, and navigated boardrooms.
- Emotional intelligence and trust. My clients say they feel seen, stretched, and safe.
- Creative, design-minded approach. With a background in design-thinking, I bring a creative, innovative mindset.
- Grounded, long term impact. I aim to help my clients cultivate wisdom and a sense of identity beyond the job.
Am I a good fit?
You’re likely a good fit if you’re willing to engage deeply, curious about your own growth, and committed to aligning your leadership with your values. I work best with leaders who are eager to grow in self-awareness, ready to do reflective work and experiment with new approaches.
What are your fees?
Fees vary by client depending on their needs and the scope of our engagement. One-on-one leadership coaching is a significant financial investment. I offer a reduced rate for early-stage companies or self-funded individuals.
What will our sessions look like?
I live in Bastrop, Texas 30 miles east of Austin, and I meet with clients on zoom or in-person in Austin. Our sessions are 55 minutes long, typically every two weeks, and tailored to what’s most important for you. We’ll start with what’s on your mind, explore underlying dynamics, and end with clear next steps or experiments to try. I follow-up with insights, action items, and additional resources for you to explore.
